As the world and the way we communicate changes, the expectations of how leaders communicate has also changed. We conduct workshops and build toolkits to help your leaders more effectively communicate, engage and inspire employees globally, virtually, and across generations.
Case Study
Challenge
A large financial services organization wanted to design a workshop to help leaders more effectively communicate and engage with their employees in this changing world. With a goal of creating lifelong relationships with their customers, their leadership understood they needed to start internally by building a culture of caring.
Solution
We worked with the organization to:
Develop a one-page message map that included the corporate and business messages that each employee needed to know, including the behaviors that would contribute to a culture of caring
Design a six-hour workshop that covered communication basics, such as aligning messages, creating a line of sight, storytelling, listening, recognizing and walking the talk, as well as the challenges of virtual communication, change communication, communicating across generations and building trust through communication
Create a two-hour overview of the workshop, which was shared with executives at their annual leadership conferences
Design a pre-workshop survey to be completed by training participants’ colleagues to give participants an accurate assessment of their communication skills and areas needing development
Facilitate the workshop with thousands of leaders across the country in on-site sessions
Results
Each participant completed the workshop with an action plan, which they followed up on regularly with their managersIn many cases, in-tact teams also developed and implemented action plans
The workshops were well received with very high evaluations scores
In some areas of the country, the workshops were so successful that leaders extended them to managers
